Saints

The exhibition entitled ‘Santos’ by Puerto Rican artist Eric Tabales consists of twenty-five oxidized canvases in medium to large formats. This time, the artist has used red oxides in almost every single one of his paintings. The result is a collection of mostly monochromatic works that strikes us with wonder for its variety, richness and visual appeal. We are accustomed by Tabales’ work of great conceptual content executed with a superb technical quality. This exhibition is not the exception. ‘Santos’ shows fundamental aspects of men and women with great spiritual development who also lived full lives and helped the fellow men. Through history, saints have always symbolized inspiration and improvement.
